Cindy Skalyo
Head Instructor and Trainer

Cindy is a US Pony Club graduate with a degree in equine science from Otterbein University and a therapeutic riding instructor certification from PATH (Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship). She has been teaching riding lessons in various capacities since 1999, including 12 years of experience in therapeutic horsemanship, and brings a relationship-based focus to every interaction with horses and students.

Cindy excels at teaching self-regulation and mindfulness alongside body awareness and biomechanics, helping riders grow into well-balanced, confident partners for their horses. She has a background in eventing and dressage and especially enjoys working with young horses just beginning their journey into the human world.

Nora Skalyo
Assistant Instructor and Trainer

Nora grew up surrounded by horses, taking her first lessons at age five and beginning to train horses seriously by age 12. She has extensive experience of volunteering with a therapeutic riding program and has a special knack for connecting with children.

Nora leads Homeschool Horsemasters and Hands on Horses, teaches riding lessons for younger students, and plays a major role in horse care, training, and schooling of the farm’s lesson horses.
